Cozy 1 bedroom, 1 full bath (Tub/shower combo) cottage located on a 2 acre ‘owner occupied’ property with woods and garden views. Sleeps 2. (Queen bed and pull out couch) 1 pup okay with small fee.

Cottage is perfect for a couple who want a quiet cozy place to relax but be close enough to all local activities.

5 minutes from Acadia National Park/Schoodic Point section of Acadia.

Bike or walk to our charming town where you can enjoy shops, restaurants, galleries, and all the sites of this spectacular location including the magnificent Victorian homes on Grindstone Neck.

Enjoy a picturesque 1 hour ferry ride from the Winter Harbor dock to Bar Harbor. This visually amazing ferry ride will be a highlight of your vacation! (Pups welcome on ferry)

No need to bring your car to the busy town of Bar Harbor (where you will dock) as you can use the free L.L.Bean bus which will bring you all over Mount Desert Island at no cost.
Enjoy all that Bar Harbor has to offer: dining, tours, museums, waterfront activities and so much more….

A visit to the Schoodic Peninsula will allow you witness the impressive crashing surf of the rocky coast which Maine is known for.

Enjoy hiking the Acadia/Schoodic trails, sea kayaking, sailing Frenchman Bay along with biking, bird watching or even play golf overlooking the ocean and pink granite cliffs.

Enjoy a vibrant art culture including galleries, studios and shops, and many quaint fishing villages that dot the coast.

Many day and evening programs with ‘Schoodic Arts for All Center’ hosts art exhibits, wonderful concert performances (almost every evening throughout the summer and fall months) showcasing many top notch talent. Most performances are just $15.00.

Winter Harbor Lobster Festival is a world renown lobster fest and one of the largest Maine lobster boat races too! Don’t miss it! Usually the second weekend of August.

The Schoodic Scenic By-way is 29 miles in length and travels throughout the community and into the Schoodic section of Acadia National Park which is a not to miss experience.

On this drive you will experience the unspoiled landscape which makes this section of Acadia National Park truly the “Way Life Should Be”.
